Figures from Reading
On pages 411-413 in your reading, it is hard to read the illustrations of the process of determining what a seed does, to determine whether or not it is in the Mandelbrot set. I had them scanned in, and include them here. Although I fear they are still quite fuzzy, I hope that they at least a bit better:
