Fractals in Art

As fractals have become more and more a part of common knowledge, they have certainly inspired artists. Below are some examples of fractal art.
Ken Keller, Entrance to Bliss II, computer-generated
Stephanie Johnson, Interference, 2002,fractal-themed oil painting
(Originally a photographer, Keller became fascinated by the visual possibilities of fractals. "It just truly is infinite", he says. )
Luis Garcia-Bunuel, Sadness and Hope, 1999
Karin Kuhlmann, Stained Glass, 2003
Nat Friedman, Flamenco
Nat Friedman, pas de deux
Friedman uses the fractal nature of the splitting of granite. He draws lines on the rough side of polished granite, splits the granite along those lines (which of course will not be a clean split), separates the granite, pours ink over it, and, in essence, rubs the ink into a piece of paper.
