Comparing the Fibonacci Spiral to the Chambered Nautilus
The two spirals are not identical: The chambered nautilus spiral grows by a factor of roughly Phi every turn, while the Fibonacci spiral grows faster (and hence is not as tight a spiral) -- it eventually grows by a factor of Phi every quarter of a turn, although in the portion of it we are looking at, it only growing by a factor of very roughly Phi.
